Conference Theme

Optimization and Control Approaches in Transportation and Logistic Systems

The 2017 IEEE International Conference on Service Operations and Logistics, and Informatics (SOLI 2017) will be held in September 18-20, 2017, Bari, Italy.
This conference will provide a remarkable opportunity for the academic and industrial communities to address new challenges and share solutions, and discuss future research directions.
The specific objectives of the modern Logistics and Transportation Challenges are smart, green and integrated services to achieve planning, scheduling and transport systems that are resource-efficient, climate- and environmentally-friendly, safe and seamless for the benefit of all citizens, the economy and society.
Moreover, the increasing complexity of such systems of systems and the availability of Information and Communication Technologies require the development of innovative models, control and optimization approaches and lead to the definition of novel problems with respect to the related literature.
All accepted papers are expected to be included in IEEE Xplore and will be indexed by Scopus

IEEE SOLI 2017 will host the International Workshop on IoT applications in Intelligent Transportation Systems and Logistics 2017 (IoT-ITSL 2017) hosted by the IEEE IoT initiative Committee. More information here.

The authors of 2017 IEEE SOLI proceeding papers are invited to submit extended versions of their papers to the special issue “IoT and Informatics applications in Logistics and Intelligent Transportation systems” from the open source journal Informatics.
