Agostino Giorgio was born in Bari, Italy, on September 3, 1969. He graduated with honors in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari in April 1994 and completed his PhD in Electronic Engineering in 1998.
Since 1998, he has been affiliated with the Polytechnic University of Bari, where he holds the position of Assistant Professor (tenured) Adjunct Professor of Electronics and directs the Laboratory of Electronics for Digital Systems and Applications (ELEDIGILAB). His research focuses on embedded systems, the design and implementation of digital systems on FPGAs, the implementation of artificial intelligence on microcontrollers and FPGAs, the modeling of electronic devices for nanoelectronics and quantum computing applications, and digital electronics for computing, telemedicine, and home care applications. He is the author of numerous articles and has written 15 research and educational books.
