Biography
Cosimo Iurlaro graduated from the Polytechnic University of Bari with a master's degree in Electrical Engineering (with honors) in 2021 and a PhD in Electrical Energy Systems in 2024.
He is currently a Type A Fixed-Term Researcher (RTD-A) in Electrical Energy Systems at the same university.
He collaborates with industrial and institutional partners, as well as with Italian and European research centers and universities, including within the ENET-RT Lab distributed laboratory network.
An IEEE member since 2020, he has been part of the Professional and Educational Activity Committee of the IEEE Italy Section since 2025.
His research interests include the development of dynamic models and control algorithms for isolated networks and microgrids, the integration of distributed energy resources, and the provision of network services such as synthetic inertia and frequency regulation.
