Ilaria Marasco earned her Master's degree (Laurea Magistrale) cum laude in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Bari in October 2019, and her Ph.D. from the nanoPhotonics and Electromagnetic group (nPEG), in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Arnesano, in 2022. She is currently an RTD-A (Researcher Type A) in electromagnetic fields at Politecnico di Bari. Her primary research interests include the design and fabrication of compact and flexible antennas on wearable and biodegradable substrates, microwave devices, graphene-based antennas and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, UAV-assisted metasurfaces, and free-space optical communications.
