Biography
Mattia Alessandro Ragolia obtained his Master's Degree in Automation Engineering and his PhD in Electrical and Information Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2019 and 2022, respectively. He is currently a Tenure-Track Researcher in Electrical and Electronic Measurements at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering. In 2021, he conducted research as a Visiting Ph.D. Student at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland. From 2018 until he obtained his Ph.D., he was involved in research projects in the field of electromagnetic localization for surgical navigation. His current research interests include the metrological characterization of sensors and data acquisition systems, with a particular focus on acoustic levitation systems, haptic interfaces, 3D-printed sensors, and the development of deep learning models for the analysis of biomedical signals on edge devices. Dr. Ragolia is a member of the Electrical and Electronic Measurements Group (GMEE).
