Biography

Maurizio Spadavecchia was born in Molfetta (Italy) in 1974. He obtained his master's degree with honors and his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2006 and 2011, respectively. Since 2007, he has been affiliated with the Electrical and Electronic Measurements Laboratory at the Polytechnic University of Bari, where he has participated in numerous research projects in the fields of power quality, renewable energy sources, smart grids, and environmental monitoring.

He is currently an Associate Professor at the Electrical and Electronic Measurements Laboratory at the Polytechnic University of Bari. His research interests include the development of innovative methods and instrumentation for measuring electrical and environmental quantities; the characterization of renewable energy devices; the design of automatic test benches; the modeling and testing of photovoltaic panels; power quality analysis; and the design of measurement systems for saturated soils.

Dr. Spadavecchia is a member of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society and the Electrical and Electronic Measurements Group (GMEE).
