Nicola Altini obtained a bachelor's degree (with honors) in Computer and Automation Engineering and a master's degree (with honors) in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2017 and 2019, respectively. In December 2022, he obtained his PhD in Electrical and Information Engineering from the same university, discussing his thesis "Computational imaging for precision medicine: the emergence of radiomics, pathomics, and deep learning," under the supervision of Prof. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua and Prof. Francescomaria Marino.
He is currently a fixed-term researcher (RTDa) in Bioengineering at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Bari.
His main research interests are Medical Image Analysis, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Radiomics, and Pathomics.
