Simona Colucci obtained her master's degree in Management Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari, Bari, Italy, in 2002, and her PhD in Information Engineering in 2006 from the same university. She is currently Associate Professor of Computer Engineering at the same university.
Her research interests include Knowledge Representation and Automatic Reasoning for the Semantic Web and Explainable Artificial Intelligence.
She is co-author of about 80 publications, including journal articles, books, and conference proceedings.
Since 2006-2007, she has taught several university courses, mainly on basic computer science, databases, web languages, and Big Data Analytics.
